A 44-year-old agriculturist has been awarded compensation for injuries sustained in a collision with a bus. The Motor Accident Claims Tribunal awarded Rs 5.17 lakh with 9% annual interest due to the accident. The accident occurred in October 2019 when the agriculturist's motorcycle was hit by a State Transport bus.

The tribunal held the bus driver solely responsible for the accident, rejecting claims that the motorcyclist was also to blame. The claimant, Ananta Mahadu Vishe, suffered permanent disability as a result of the collision. Further details of the incident and the tribunal's decision are available.
