A project to assign permanent digital identities to pets has been initiated. This involves implanting a small biocompatible device under the skin of animals. Each device holds a unique identifier that connects to a database with the animal's details and its guardian's contact information.

The project's first event resulted in around 25 dogs receiving these devices. Further details about the project are available from the organization behind the initiative.

The organization aims to extend this project to include a wide range of animals, not just those with owners.
