A proposal for a ferry service has been reviewed by Maharashtra Minister Nitesh Rane. The aim is to improve water transport in a certain district. Five routes are being considered for the service.

Initially, a pilot service will be introduced on one of these routes, significantly reducing travel time. The current travel time by road is around 1.5 to two hours, but this will be cut to approximately 15 minutes by water.

Further information about the proposal, including details of the routes and implementation, is available from the source.
