A total of 33,993 vehicles have been penalised for not having secure plates. Fines collected from these vehicles amount to Rs 79.13 lakh. The enforcement drive started on July 1 and the penalties were collected by August 28.

Teams inspected over 1 lakh vehicles during this period. The secure plates are mandatory for vehicles registered before a certain date.
