Food and Drug Administration officials have carried out numerous search-and-seizure operations, resulting in significant seizures. Over three months, 104 operations were conducted, seizing stock worth Rs 11.41 crore. This is a notable increase from the previous five financial years, which saw 419 operations and seizures worth Rs 30.84 crore. The actions have uncovered potentially hazardous products, including skin-whitening creams with excessive mercury and lead, as well as spurious medicines.
