The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a case against a Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisation official for possessing disproportionate assets. The accused public servant has assets valued at ₹84.21 lakh, which exceed his known sources of income. This discrepancy was found to be 82.78 per cent.

The official, an Upper Division Clerk, allegedly amassed these assets between October 2020 and April 2026. His service record shows that he joined the department in June 1996 as a Lower Division Clerk.
